Transfer Multisort Elektronik: Enabling the Next Generation of Engineers

At KTH Formula Student, our goal is to design, build, and race high-performance electric vehicles while preparing the next generation of engineers for real-world challenges. As a student-run project operating at the cutting edge of motorsport and mobility, having access to the right tools and support makes all the difference. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to be part of the Powered by TME program by Transfer Multisort Elektronik (TME).

Powered by Transfer Multisort Elektronik

TME’s journey began in 1990, as a small electronics store in the heart of Poland. Through decades of transformation, they’ve grown into one of Europe’s largest distributors of electronic components, electromechanical components, industrial automation products, and workplace equipment. With employees across 12 countries, they offer over a million products from more than 1400 leading manufacturers. Beyond their scale and logistics, what stands out most is their commitment to people as well as their belief in knowledge, passion, and innovation as the core of progress. This belief is exactly what fuels our collaboration.

TME’s Powered by TME initiative is all about supporting individuals and teams who are passionate about creating a better world through engineering. As part of this effort, their support for KTH Formula Student enables us to access high-quality electronic components, tools, and technical resources. With their help, we’re empowered to explore innovative solutions that contribute to the future of sustainable mobility.

Tools that Drive Our Organization

Thanks to TME’s generous financial support, our organization has been able to make a significant investment in the tools and electronics essential to our design, manufacturing, and assembly work. This support has enabled us to equip our workshop with a wide range of high-quality hand tools, precision instruments, power tool accessories, and electronic components that are critical to maintaining both efficiency and accuracy across all stages of our projects. From mechanical assembly and detailed fabrication to electrical work and testing, every aspect of our operation has benefited from this upgrade. The addition of specialized equipment, durable workshop essentials, and advanced soldering and measurement tools has strengthened our ability to innovate and deliver at a higher standard. TME’s contribution has not only enhanced our technical capabilities but also ensured that our team is equipped with the right tools to meet the demands of increasingly complex and ambitious builds.

These tools help us do everything from assembling our car to completing our electrical systems. Having the right equipment improves our build quality, reduces our assembly workload, and accelerates our development timeline. All of which are critical advantages when working under tight deadlines or at the race track.

More Than Just Sponsorship

TME’s support is a vote of confidence in student-driven engineering and in the future of sustainable mobility. As they put it in their article:

“Electric vehicle racing is not just a sport; it’s a hub of innovations. These racetracks are where cutting-edge technologies are tested and developed for future production cars.”

By partnering with KTH Formula Student, TME is helping to cultivate the very innovations and engineers that will shape tomorrow’s transportation systems.

Looking Ahead

We’re deeply grateful for TME’s belief in our team and our mission. With their help, we’re not only building a race car, we’re building experience, knowledge, and the future of mobility.
